Rusty Quill Transcript Update 20
Hi folks! Here is our Twentieth Mini Transcript update. We are writing an additional update. Update Nineteen was set to be our final update as we are waiting on some third party DNS server to launch our transcripts along with some other improvements to the website we can talk about more later on. In the name of transparency we’ve brought these updates back. In this instance it was geneuinely no fault of our team and again apologies for last weeks delay. We did believe they would launch last week. They may still launch at any point this week. However, if by Friday they have not launched we will make links and distribute them on our social media. Update 21/02/2022: We are waiting on transcripts to release. That is a purely technical hosting related issue and we anticipated they would launch last week. We have currently completed Stellar Firma transcript reformats. Though their may still be minor tweaks after release mostly for consistency rather than for corrections. The Magnus Archives S1, S4 and S5 are complete. S2 and S3 are partially complete but should be completed within the week. We will release as is but there may still be some tweaks for consistency etc. Rusty Quill Gaming is fully transcribed though some episodes will need some further work and further checks post release. Hi folks! Here is our Nineteenth Mini Transcript update. Update 07/02/2022: All going well, transcripts will be released next week. Due to the nature of 3rd party transcription services and the complexity of the transcription and the recent reformatting these transcripts may include some specific errors. The Magnus Archives is fully allocated and we are working to get all 200 main series episodes completely reformatted as soon as possible. Rusty Quill Gaming is transcribed though some episodes need some further work and/or need double checked. We are working tirelessly to have these ready for release. Rusty Quill Launches a Brand-New Website!
We’re delighted to announce our brand-new website! This long-overdue update has all the same Rusty Quill content you love, but with a new user-friendly layout and style. Designed to be a hub of all things Rusty Quill, the new website will now grow as we do; as we create new RQ Originals and expand the RQ Network and add transcripts each week, it’ll remain easy-to-navigate and full of RQ information. We’ve also taken steps to improve page accessibility, though there will be further accessibility modifications over time. We have not implemented these immediately to ensure that the new website was working properly before we introduced this additional accessibility functionality. When we launched our new branding in May last year, we knew that we wanted a website to match it, but a website is more than just looks; it’s about functionality. We wanted the new rustyquill.com to be a one-stop area for fans and creators alike to easily listen to shows, find resources including transcripts, catch up with the latest news, and shop for merchandise. Closure of The Rusty Quill Official Discord Server
(Originally Posted by Hattie 15/9/2021) We have previously stated that we have paused the Discord whilst we made decisions about whether to continue with it, and if so, how to make sure that it is a safe place where we can take care of everybody who works for us. We have now concluded that the RQO server will remain closed for at least the next six months, at which point we will re-assess whether we can open a new server with a different format and management. It may well be that we do not open a new server. It is impossible at this stage to predict what may have changed between now and March and so we cannot make any promises. As a result of this decision, the server will no longer be available to view by the general public within 48 hours of this announcement. To provide some context, the server grew beyond our wildest expectations in a very short amount of time, and unfortunately, we were not fully prepared for all of the ramifications of such growth. Despite our best efforts, there have been ongoing issues within the server for a few years. We wished to keep it going to provide a place for our community to interact whilst we worked on better solutions but it has been clear for some time that it is not possible for us to continue with the server in its current form. With this in mind, we have been exploring alternative options. Hi folks! Here is our Seventeenth Mini Transcript update. Update 24/01/2022: We are now working solidly with a goal to release as soon as possible. A few things came up during QA stages (some missing MAG pages, a couple of Stellar Firma transcripts filed under the wrong name etc.) Despite this we are rather confident that we will release 76 Stellar Firma, 200 The Magnus Archives and 218 Rusty Quill Gaming transcripts in February. We are working our way through RQG transcripts doing some checks and making some corrections. We have almost finished transcription on the pilot Enthusigasm season. We are nearing completion on The Magnus Archives and Stellar Firma transcripts with completion looking likely this week or next. Hi folks! Here is our Sixteenth Mini Transcript update. Update 17/01/2022: We await just 2 Rusty Quill Gaming transcripts being returned from our chosen transcription company for the whole set. We are now at a stage of doing some additional QA and review both internally and with our transcription company as we prepare to release scripts shortly. Good Progress continues to be made on the reformatting of The Magnus Archives Transcripts and we have updated earlier content warnings for a number of episodes. Hi folks! We hope you had a happy holiday season. Update 03/01/2022: Enthusigasm released its first public season with transcripts you can find them linked in the descriptions of episodes in both word and PDF. Extended transcripts are released alongside the extended Patreon episodes of Enthusigasm. Over 200 Transcripts are complete for Rusty Quill Gaming the remaining transcripts will be received back from the transcription shortly. Some small revisions will be required a head of a public release soon. Meanwhile, the reformatting of transcripts into our house style is underway. We hope to complete reformatting this month.
